N.’s Story: Work That Matters

On the last full day of our January trip to S. Asia, our team spent a Saturday with 13 women from the Nations Hope Store discipleship and training program. We played games, shared testimonies, worshiped together, and enjoyed a meal as one big family. There was so much laughter and such a real sense of God’s presence among us.

One of the women we spent time with is N.. Her story is one of perseverance and quiet strength.

Providing for her family

Eleven years ago, N.’s husband left, and she has raised her two children on her own ever since. For many years she has worked as a housemaid, and more recently at the local metro station, doing everything she can to provide for her family.

N. has been part of the Nations Hope Store program since 2019. She shared how meaningful it is to know that the work she does truly matters.

Her favorite thing to make? The maps for our Advent calendars.

Maps that point to the nations

N. takes great pride in knowing that the maps she makes will be used by families around the world as they pray for unreached peoples. Each one carries a little piece of her story into homes she will never see, helping others pray for the nations.

A family of hope

N.’s children were part of the day too. Her daughter was preparing for an important school exam, and her son jumped in to help, serving and organizing wherever he was needed. Seeing this family’s resilience and hope was incredibly moving.

About the Nations Hope Store program

Through the Nations Hope Store, women in S. Asia learn practical skills that help provide income for their families while growing together through biblical teaching, prayer, and discipleship. We are so grateful for Katreena and Heather, who faithfully lead the program and pour so much love into these women.

Thank you for praying for N. and the women of the Nations Hope Store.
