Kigarama Village (Sheema District)

ABOUT THE WELL

This water well was completed in Kigarama Village, Sheema District, Uganda, on July 27, 2026. The well is 62 feet deep and is equipped with a hand pump so community members can access groundwater without electricity or fuel.

The well was built with a concrete platform and drainage channel to help keep the area around the pump cleaner and reduce standing water. The photos show members from the community using the new well and water flowing successfully from the pump.

This project provides the village with a more dependable and accessible source of water for everyday needs such as drinking, cooking, washing, and hygiene. With proper care and maintenance, the well can continue serving families in Kigarama Village for many years.
