The Pedakamanapudi Village Well

- Population of this village: 2,500 (two neighbouring villages are also using this water well)
- Rate of Literacy: 42%
- Always dry climate and in the summer it is very hot with temperatures reaching well over 90 degrees each day
- There is not sufficient rainfall in this region and annually in the village they receive very small amounts of rain
- This clean water well will be used by more than 450 people per day
- The Indian government and other organizations tried to supply water through water reserve sump pumps, but it has not reserved the water properly
