The Lingannapet Village Well

• Population of village: 4,231 (as per 2010 Census)  
• Rate of Literacy: 59%
• They always have a dry climate and in the summer it is very hot with temperatures reaching well over 100 degrees each day
• No sufficient rain fall and annually in the village they receive less than 1” per year
• This village has no water by any river bank
• This clean water well will be used by more than 690 people per day
• The government tried to supply by water preserve in a water overhead tank, but there was tank failure and it is not working properly. They had no other source of water.
