The Peddanatooru Village Well

- Rate of Literacy: 40%
- They always have a dry climate and in the summer it is very hot with temperatures reaching well over 100 degrees each day
- No sufficient rain fall and annually in the village they receive less than 1” per year
- This village is not by any rivers and had no other water source
- This clean water well will be used by more than 650 people per day
- The government had never arranged any water supplies for this village so they were in desperate need for fresh water
