Quick Facts
What to Expect
Note: please contact trips@gpartners.org for more details on this trip’s location.
Overall Trip Goal: Our trips are flexible to accommodate how God wants to use you for His glory! We tailor trips to people who have a desire to be the hands and feet of Christ, using their testimonies to encourage believers, play with children, bless Pastors & Widows, and reach the unreached.
Meals: Expect to enjoy great, authentic local meals! All meals are provided, but it’s also helpful to bring along some extra “snack type food” - granola bars, peanut butter, beef jerky, etc. Many times, a local village will provide our team lunch out of hospitality when we are ministering to them. While you will likely be offered traditional spicy dishes, there will always be a “non-spicy” option.
Accommodations: You can expect a lot of in-country travel and hotel stays where team members share a room with another same-gender team member. Married couples can stay together in rooms by themselves generally.
Daily Living: Remember, you are in India. Depending on the hotel, you may get a hot or cold shower with a lot of pressure or very little pressure. You won't need many things (you're living out of your suitcase) but pack the necessities. When we are visiting the home of one of our National Partners, there could be an opportunity to wash clothes, but otherwise plan on not being able to wash clothes in a washing machine. If needed, you can hand wash your clothes and hang them to dry. We do this often. Expect to see some amazing animals along the way (monkeys, etc.) and most importantly, be flexible!
Typical Ministry Day: This can vary depending on the team. However, you can expect opportunities for discipleship/training (Pastors, Church Members, Widows), playing with children (we’ll visit 4-5 of our children’s homes), livestock (sheep/goat, chickens, water buffalo) distributions, water well dedications, and visiting unreached people group villages.
